BUYCOTT AMAZON, now more than ever

January 15, 2021

In light of recent events, it's become very clear that the large tech companies have way too much influence. I won't call it power, because it is run by money-and to me money isn't of the greatest importance. People throw it around to buy things and unfortunately people.I had probably 40 or so subscribe and save items that have all been cancelled. It took a little work replacing the items, but honestly, I don't think they cost any more than a total of a few dollars combined. I looked to local stores in my community that at least employed people. There are a LOT of places online to purchase things.Yes, I still have Alexa and before this all happened, I purchased security cameras.

If you value your privacy, find a good VPN - I just downloaded ExpressVPN. You can find discounts for it online. I added a private texting app - Signal.

If we keep patronizing the same companies that are squashing free speech, they can continue on their rampage.I live remote, there may be some things I buy on Amazon out of necessity, but trust me, it will be as few as possible.

Amazon's shut down of Parler, like the app or not is WRONG. This country was built on free speech and the ability of private companies to function. To have one company break a contract and give them NO time to move elsewhere, essentially puts that company out of business. This is pure BULLYING for having an opinion that is different from others.

Republican or Democrat, these recent actions should scare the crud out of you. What is next? Maybe something YOU care about!
