BUY LOCAL
Don't assume that Amazon has the lowest prices. Do a little work, check local stores. I found a simple scrub brush was less than half at Target, AND they employ local people. Even if you must have something shipped, check other websites first, reduce your spending on Amazon. I do this every day - what do I need, do I HAVE to buy it on Amazon? Can I buy it local? How can I reduce all these boxes that have to be shipped?
Check stores like Thrive Market, the membership is worth it. Vitacost, Brandless, Public Goods all have some great platforms. Recycled or non paper goods - Who Gives a Crap, Reel, Brandless, Public Goods. It is worth the time to support smaller businesses and hope they don't get hooked into Amazon. I've noticed some sites I have purchased through in the past, now just take you right to Amazon to buy.
Have you ever looked at www.boycottamazon.com? It redirects right to Amazon.com, hence buycottamazon.com!
